So I’m kind of having a moment with dessert tacos. Just even writing that out makes me almost be able to taste their sugary crunchiness in my mouth, even though I just ate a savory lunch and somehow it seems like a terrible time to be thinking about cinnamon sugar shells.
But is there ever a terrible time for dessert tacos? NEVERRRRRR. These little tacos are piled high with the most simple, sweet, fruity cheesecake filling that is basically an open invitation for any and all of your favorite toppings.
The crunch of the shell plus the smooth, velvety, rich flavor of the filling and the freshness of the berries with some chocolate drizzle over the whole thing? Ugh. These are the addicting flavors of a party.
1. Homemade Choco Taco
You can never really have too many recipes for Choco Tacos. Spoiler: this isn’t the last one we are talking about today.
These are the full-sized deal, and they are even more chocolatey than the mini versions. If you love chocolate, you will appreciate this.
2. Fruit Tacos
These fruit tacos are a tart and tangy delight. Don’t worry, because cinnamon, sugar, and honey bring plenty of sweetness to the party.
We are filling these with strawberries, mango, kiwi, and blueberries for a total tropical vibe. But obviously, you can use whatever fruit you love best.
3. Brown Butter Crepe Ice Cream Tacos
Brown butter crepe ice cream tacos. Just reading those words makes me happy.
Each taco is loaded with butter, chocolate, and ice cream. They can be a little messy, and you might have chocolate fingers by the end. But honestly? Totally worth it.
4. Apple Pie Cheesecake Tacos
These treats are a triple threat. We are talking apple pie, cheesecake, and churros all in one bite. The baked shells are sweet and crunchy, while the cheesecake filling keeps things light and zesty.
And that comforting apple pie filling? It’s just heartwarming.
5. Chocolate Tacos with Strawberry
These rich tacos are some of my favorites. The chocolate lace cookies are thin and crunchy, almost like crepes, and filled with only the best stuff.
Two kinds of ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce make this sinful. But we aren’t stopping there. Top them with sweet macerated berries for the ultimate treat.
6. Mini Cherry Cheesecake Tacos
If you love Cherry-O Cream Cheese Pie, you are going to obsess over these. They taste exactly like that but with a crunchy, cinnamony crust.
These bite-sized snacks are so good that you definitely cannot eat just one. You’ll probably need three or four before you can stop.
7. Strawberry Cheesecake Tacos
Strawberry cheesecake is a classic, but sometimes we need to switch things up. Flip it on its head with these sinful little tacos.
You get that fantastic sweet and tangy flavor with a fun look.
And don’t worry about the tortillas. You won’t even taste them under that buttery graham cracker crust.
8. Piña Colada Tacos
These tacos are strictly for the adults. There isn’t actual alcohol, so the kids can have them, but grown-ups will appreciate the tropical flavor way more.
You get plenty of pineapple and coconut here. Maraschino cherries and cinnamon sugar add that extra pop of sweetness.
9. 4-Ingredient Nutella Choco Tacos
These four-ingredient treats are just like Choco Tacos, but with Nutella. Yes, that makes them even better.
You don’t even have to cook. It’s just microwaving, assembling, and freezing. They are ridiculously simple. Just give them about three hours to freeze completely.
10. Pumpkin Spice Dessert Tacos
Need a festive fall treat? These pumpkin spice tacos are exactly what you need.
They are overwhelmingly pumpkiny and smell fantastic. Cinnamon and toasted pecans add crunch, while the cream cheese icing brings a nice tang.
Serve these with a hot mug of apple cider for the full effect.
11. Bubble Waffle Banana Split Tacos
If you have seen Wreck-It Ralph, this will look familiar. It looks just like something from Sugar Rush Land.
It is colorful, festive, and exciting. But it tastes phenomenal too. It is fruity, sweet, and totally decadent. Treat yourself to something fabulous with this one.
12. Churro Dessert Tacos with Strawberries and Cream
These are basically taco-shaped churros, meaning they are crunchy and smothered in cinnamon sugar. That alone is tasty, but we are taking it a step further.
Fill each shell with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. The silky cream against the crispy churro is heavenly. Feel free to drizzle some chocolate or caramel, too.
13. Grilled S’mores Tacos
Here is another simple four-ingredient dessert to get excited about. Grilled s’mores tacos are sweet, chocolatey, and gooey.
Best of all, you just need a grill and five minutes. Graham crackers go inside the tortillas for maximum goodness.
The soft tortilla is like biting into a warm sweet cloud, and it is way less messy than the traditional version.
14. Peanut Butter and Jelly Tacos
This is your classic PB&J situation. The only difference is the fun taco shape and a bright berry topping.
It is the easiest way to keep an old-fashioned, comforting sandwich exciting and fun.
15. Coconut Choco Tacos
Coconut and chocolate are a match made in heaven. I love the light coconut sweetness against rich chocolate.
They taste amazing in a cinnamon and brown sugar taco shell. If you need a sweet summer treat, this is a fantastic option. Tropical, chocolatey, and the kids will love it.
16. Paleo Dessert Taco with Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream
Choco Tacos are yummy, but sometimes we want something healthier. Enter these paleo-friendly treats.
They are sweet, but not too sweet. It’s that delightful clean sweetness you get from natural ingredients.
And believe it or not, plantains make a surprisingly good shell. Give these a try if you want to indulge without ruining the diet.
17. Banana Pudding Tacos
Southern-style banana pudding is close to my heart. My gramma made it every spring.
Since I can’t beat hers, I make banana pudding tacos instead. You will love the mild banana flavor and silky smooth pudding. The vanilla notes and whipped cream aren’t bad either.
18. Blueberry Cheesecake Tacos
These are similar to the strawberry ones, with that same tart and tangy sweetness, but overflowing with berries.
Also, they use a brown sugar sopapilla-like shell instead of a graham cracker crust. Fortunately, both options are equally delectable.
19. Ice Cream Tacos
Surprisingly, frozen waffles make ideal taco shells. They are thick and fluffy with just enough crunch.
This recipe calls for five simple ingredients like vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles. Pretty classic, right? You can get creative with fillings, making them perfect for a sweet taco bar.
20. Mini Choco Tacos
Most people know Choco Tacos, but did you know you can make them at home? It is so simple and only needs three ingredients: waffle cone batter, ice cream, and chocolate chips.
Whip up the crunchy cones and fill them with ice cream. Dip in melted chocolate and let cool. Since they are mini, you can eat more than one without guilt.
21. Crispy Sopapilla Dessert Tacos with Ice Cream and Berries
Sopapillas are crunchy, airy, and covered in sweetness. Typically people top them with honey or berries.
In this case, shape them like tacos and fill them with everything! They are gorgeous and flavorful. The berries add just enough tartness to keep things balanced.
22. Tuile Cookie Dessert Tacos
I think the mascarpone makes these remind me of cannolis rather than cookies.
They are both delectable, but these tacos have much crispier, thinner shells. Thanks to the berries and chocolate sauce, they pack a lot of flavor.
If you like cannolis, you will probably love these too.
23. Chocolate Dessert Tacos
These chocolate dessert tacos are entirely over the top. The kids will love them for that exact reason.
They are insanely chocolatey and the filling is indulgent. These are an excellent option for a dessert taco bar – just lay out the shells and let people customize with their favorite toppings.
24. Fresh Berry Tacos Recipe
As dessert-like as these are, they aren’t actually that bad for you. They might be a bit high in carbs, but the fat and calorie counts aren’t terrible.
They are full of berry-bright flavor and only take ten minutes to make. No cooking required. Just fresh, refreshing, and perfect for summer.
25. Mango Shrikhand Taco
These fruit-filled tacos combine all your favorite tastes. We are talking fruity, salty, sweet, and spicy.
They are crisp and refreshing, and that chili powder gives them a bite. These are the perfect tacos for sitting on the beach or hosting a summer luau.
