Wraps make me happy inside. Regular wraps, lettuce wraps, spicy chicken wraps, hummus veggie wraps with feta cheese… I’ll take one of each with a side of chips. Because it’s lunchtime.
Oh, and how about those weird wraps they have at hole-in-the-wall deli joints? Have you had one of those?
And then you think they’re gonna make you gag and you’ll never be able to look at that place the same way again, but they’re actually, like, kinda good, and you end up coming back every week for the rest of time?
These 25 sensational sandwich wrap recipes aren’t that much of a stretch. It’s a spicy, juicy, texturally perfect situation, and yes I mean perfect, because putting all of my favorite salty foods inside of a soft tortilla is definitely a good idea.
1. Easy Pepperoni Pizza Tortilla Wrap
Have you seen that tortilla hack floating around TikTok? It is such a genius way to pull together a snack.
Here is the deal: you pop your fillings into four quadrants and make a single cut from the center straight down to the bottom edge. Then you just fold the bottom left up, flip the top left over to the right, and keep going until you have a little pizza-slice-shaped wrap.
It works for pretty much any wrap, but it is especially magical here because the design holds all that melted cheese inside perfectly.
You don’t even have to grill it, but let’s be real—it’s better if you do.
2. Chicken Caesar Wraps
Okay, here is my beef with restaurant chicken Caesar salads: there is usually way too much lettuce.
That is exactly why I skip ordering them out and make them at home instead. I want to be in charge of those ratios.
In my mind, a proper wrap needs to be heavy on the chicken and light on the lettuce, with plenty of crunchy croutons in the mix. Also, we are cutting the bacon into strips, not crumbles, because we want that big bacon flavor in every single bite.
3. Black Bean and Avocado Wraps
I was staring at my kitchen the other day with zero dinner plans and a serious lack of meat for tacos. But! I did have black beans and a major craving for something creamy and avocado-y.
This recipe just swaps your usual protein for black beans cooked up with onion, bell peppers, garlic, and taco seasoning. Once they soften up, you layer them with avocado, tomato, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
I even used the leftovers for a breakfast wrap with roasted sweet potatoes and it was delightful.
4. Cilantro-Lime Shrimp Wraps
The best thing about this recipe is undeniably the speed.
Since we are using shrimp, you only need about 10 minutes of marinating time in the fridge with cumin, lime, cilantro, garlic, oil, and salt and pepper to get maximum flavor.
Throw them in a hot pan for a few minutes and you are ready to build these beauties.
5. Banana Wrap Recipe
This is tasty and fast, but I have one little tip that is going to take it over the top: grill it.
If you have a panini press or a grill, just wrap this up and let it get warm and toasty for a few minutes. It takes the yumminess to a whole new level.
6. Delicious Steak & Cheese Wraps Recipe
A Philly cheesesteak is usually a pretty heavy situation with a thick hoagie roll.
This lightened-up version gives you all those amazing cheesy flavors without the extra carb load. You can definitely use ground beef if you are trying to save money, but I say go ahead and splurge on a nice piece of meat for this one.
It’s a treat.
7. PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Being stuck at home gave us the perfect excuse to master some copycat recipes.
My house got really into faux-takeout, and these wraps were always a huge hit. The ground chicken keeps things extra lean, but pork would totally work here too.
8. Italian Wrap Recipe
Just like a good sub, this wrap needs at least two kinds of deli meat.
The recipe calls for ham and salami, but I have definitely added chicken, prosciutto, and even smoked turkey when I had leftovers. The vinaigrette is key here for that zesty tang.
Pro tip: make the salad in a bowl and toss it with the dressing before you put it in the wrap so it doesn’t leak out everywhere.
9. Vegan BBQ Jackfruit Wraps
If you haven’t tried BBQ pulled jackfruit yet, consider this your sign.
Even if you aren’t vegan, it is super tasty and absolutely worth a try. You can usually find it canned or online now. You can get it whole, but that takes more prep.
And honestly, unlike pulled pork that needs hours, this dish is ready in just 30 minutes.
10. Creamy Spinach and Feta Cheese Tortilla Wraps
I love spinach and feta, but this is officially my new favorite way to eat them.
These are served hot, so it is basically like eating your own personal portion of spinach dip, but better because of the feta and red peppers.
You soften up the onions and peppers, add the garlic and spinach, and once that spinach is wilted, you mix in the cheeses until everything is melted and amazing.
11. Tuna Wrap
The filling here is essentially tuna salad.
If you have a favorite version, use it, but this recipe really nails it. You probably have everything you need right now: tuna, yogurt, mustard, walnuts, raisins, parsley, capers, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
If you don’t have capers, you can easily swap them for olives or just leave them out.
12. Smashed Chickpea and Goat Cheese Wraps
We have been obsessed with these ever since the smashed chickpea method entered our lives.
It is filling, has great texture, and is packed with plant-based protein. This specific recipe uses goat cheese, so it isn’t vegan, but you can swap for vegan cream cheese or silken tofu if you need to.
The goat cheese is perfect here though because it is crumbly and creamy at the same time, so it blends in but you still get those nice pops of tangy flavor.
13. Turkey Strawberry Wrap
We know fruit belongs in salad, but have you tried berries in a lunch wrap?
There is a lot going on here between the salty smoked turkey, the juicy strawberries, and the tangy poppy seed dressing. Plus, you get that texture from the pecans.
I actually ran out of poppy seed dressing the second time I made this and used honey mustard instead—still just as tasty.
14. Homemade Crunch Wrap Supreme
You have to admit that the Crunch Wrap Supreme is a thing of beauty. It is loaded with spiced beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, and salad.
To make this at home, you start with a big tortilla and layer the filling in a circle. I like to add a mini tortilla on top so nothing falls out when you fold up the edges.
Then you just grill the whole thing in a skillet or panini press.
15. Easy BLT Wraps
Sometimes I forget how good a BLT is until I make one. Salty bacon, juicy tomatoes, creamy mayo—it is pretty much perfect.
Making it into a wrap is your best bet for work lunches because they are self-contained and you don’t have to worry about the soggy bread factor.
16. Spiced Paneer Wraps
Paneer is an Indian cheese that is super similar to halloumi, just a little softer and less salty.
It doesn’t melt like regular cheese, so you can add it to meals just like tofu or chicken. In this wrap, the cheese gets coated in tikka masala paste and cooked until it’s crispy.
If you can’t find paneer, you can easily swap it out.
17. Summer Rolls With Peanut Dipping Sauce
Rice paper is naturally gluten-free and so easy to work with.
I just love that you can see all those colorful veggies right through the paper, and since it is so thin, it doesn’t hide the crunchy texture of the filling. You can also fry these in hot oil if you want that restaurant-style vibe.
18. Vegan Greek Salad Wrap
This is such a lovely way to switch up your lunch game.
It takes a standard salad bowl and gives it a little something extra to make it feel more satisfying and filling. Since this is a Greek salad wrap, I really think it needs feta, but that call is up to you.
19. Hummus Collard Wraps
If you have ever tried lettuce wraps, you know they can fall apart pretty fast.
These collard green wraps are perfect if you want something a bit more substantial. They are more like burritos, so you can fit way more inside.
I find these work best with cold fillings like hummus, cucumber, and zucchini, but I bet buffalo chicken would be tasty too.
20. Mushroom Wrap
I admit that mushrooms aren’t usually the first thing I grab when I’m making a wrap. But give this one a chance and you might be impressed.
The mushrooms add a lovely earthy flavor and meaty texture, but honestly, it was the caramelized onions, garlic mayo, and jalapeños that had me devouring this.
Button mushrooms are cheap and available, but portobello works well too. Just skip the canned mushrooms—the texture is totally different.
21. Cranberry Feta Pinwheels
Pinwheels are a great appetizer, but they also work as a light lunch.
You can make three or four flavors to give people some variety. Either way, this cranberry feta combo is delicious. The feta is mixed with cream cheese so it isn’t too overpowering.
22. Roast Beef and Horseradish Wraps
Roast beef is a beautiful thing.
I highly recommend making your own or going to the butcher counter to get the best stuff if you want it to be flavorful and juicy. It is also important to get a decent horseradish sauce.
If you aren’t into horseradish, you can use something creamier like roasted garlic and caramelized onion hummus.
23. Ultimate Veggie Wrap
This isn’t vegan, but you could easily swap the cream cheese for vegan herb cashew cheese and skip the Havarti.
Otherwise, this is surprisingly filling and easy to whip up. I layered in some red onions and bell pepper slices with the tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and sprouts, and I even added some leftover chicken.
24. Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps
I like to think of these as all-American burritos.
They are loaded with seasoned ground beef, plenty of cheese, and a helping of salad. For the best flavor, you season the beef with Worcestershire, ketchup, minced onion, and salt and pepper.
I like to add pickles, red onion, and bacon because that is how a burger should be. Next time I think I’ll try adding a drizzle of BBQ sauce and some onion rings.
